đź‘‹ Welcome to our new Postdoc, Dr. Mateusz Zelent!

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Mateusz Zelent as a new Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow in our group. Mateusz earned his Ph.D. in Physics from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (defended in June 2020) with a thesis entitled “Remagnetization and magnetization dynamics in complex magnetic textures, from antidots lattice to nanodots” under the supervision of Prof. Maciej Krawczyk. From 2020 to 2025, he continued at Adam Mickiewicz University as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Assistant Professor (Adiunkt), deepening his expertise in nanoscale magnetism and spin-wave phenomena. His current research at RPTU focuses on spin-wave (magnonic) dynamics and control, magnonic crystals and metasurfaces, and chiral magnetic textures such as vortices, skyrmions, and bimerons in hybrid nanostructures with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA) and Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction (DMI). This postdoctoral project, supported by a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship, is titled “Chiral Non-stationary Magnonic Auto-oscillator for Neuromorphic Computing” and is funded with a total budget of € 217,965.12. We warmly welcome Mateusz to the group and look forward to exciting collaborations and discoveries ahead!
